Course description
This class aims to teach all indispensable skills in order to create characters at the highest industry level.
Character design will be at focus together with all other necessary skills in order to execute designs on the most advanced level. A vast array of techniques will be taught to increase the consciousness of what a high industry-standard design is.
Workshops can be taken on-site or online.
Teacher
An art director, concept artist, illustrator, and Co-founder of Division 48 studio, living in Wrocław, Poland. He started his career in 2007 as a concept artist for Techland. He worked on "Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood", "Dead Island" and "Call of Juarez: The Cartel.” After that, he and his brother Marcin created their own studio and began to work for different clients and projects, creating animations, illustrations, and promotional materials. The portfolio includes projects such as "Witcher 3", “Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales”, "Dying Light", "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger", "Might and Magic X", "Heroes VII", "Hearthstone" and others. In 2019, he started working as an art director at the Artificer studio and continued this path with the Vile Monarch studio. Since 2023, he has been associated with the BLANK studio, managing a team of artists there.
Day to day - Brief schedule

DAY 1
6h ( 3h process + 30 min break + 3h process )
Grzegorz will present live his thought process when creating characters for a given topic. Sketches, finding solutions to problems, organizing the process, and potential pitfalls. He will show the workflow - from the brief to the finished sketch.

DAY 2
5h ( 1h feedback + 3h process + 30min break + 1h summary and feedback )
In the first part, the teacher will refer to the sketches made by the workshop participants. In the next part, he will focus on the transition from the finished sketch to the final form. In the third part, he will summarize the entire process and tell you what the biggest challenge was for him and why. He will refer to the sketches made by the workshop participants.
