Course description
John A. Frye will guide students through the journey of creating an impactful and iconic vehicle design- presenting the process of playful ideation, the careful selection and condensing of best ideas, and the refinement of a concept into a cohesive and clear, presentable idea. Over three days of the workshop, students will get a detailed and clear look at John's process and have a chance to practice these techniques and receive constructive feedback, setting the foundation of essential key practices which can be used as part of their regular creative routines for creating top-level vehicle and hard surface concept designs.
Teacher
John A. Frye is currently working for American Honda in the automotive industry. He is an instructor for hard surface and vehicle design and has taught at the College for Creative Studies, Concept Design Academy, New Masters Academy, and Beaux-Arts & Entertainment. His past projects have spanned the video game, motion picture, commercial, product, and toy industries. Past clients include Boeing, John Deere, Activision, Psyop, Ubisoft Ivory Tower, Warner Brothers, and Hasbro.
