COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this workshop, Oliver will be covering his approach to designing environments and props using various tools in Blender, from sketching in 3D to asset creation to rapid scene assembly. Students can expect to learn about his workflow, tools, and approach to problem-solving in 3D. He will be covering topics such as design, modeling, texturing, kit building, scene assembly, lighting, compositing, and paintover. He will also be diving into various subtools in Blender, such as HardOps/Boxcutter, Quicktools, Machin3Tools, etc. Definitely expect to learn some useful tools in Blender you were not aware of before! There is a lot of ground to cover, but his main goal for the workshop is for students to get a general overview of his workflow.

Oliver is a 26-year-old artist with four years of entertainment industry experience. His current focus is environment design and previsualization in Blender and Unreal Engine 5. He loves learning new approaches and tools to solve problems or speed up his workflow. Currently, he is working on hard surface and CAD modeling skills. He has worked with various clients over the years. Some of the major ones are NBC Universal, NEOM, Qiddiya, Thinkwell, Falcon's Creative Group, Terraform and DNEG. His main focus lies in commercial entertainment design and movie production work, as well as previs and set design.
